What are thyroid tests?
Thyroid blood tests help to determine if your thyroid is working properly or if an underactive or overactive thyroid is responsible for the symptoms below. To thoroughly assess your thyroid the following tests should be performed: TSH, free T4, free T3, reverse T3, anti-TPO, and anti-thyroglobulin.

What Thyroid Tests Tell Us:
The tests show if you are making enough thyroid hormone (T4), if you are able to convert thyroid hormone (T4) into its active form (T3), whether you are able to use T3 properly and whether you have an autoimmune thyroid condition.
